I said in that same thread I was trolling.
But with that said there's written evidence of dreadlocks appears between 2500 and 1500 BCE in ancient India.
And I think there were people in Egypt as well, so earliest Dreads were from Egypt and India.
But actually, and i've said this before here, that there's no use claiming ownership of anything that is creative or artistic because who knows what people before us did.
Truth is Dreads are probably as old as the human race, like many other things.
So I wouldn't seriously say that Indians invented dreads on a serious note, i'd only say it as a response if someone had dreads and someone claimed cultural appropriation.
Other than that I probably wouldn't mention it, unless i'm talking to people that are curious about ancient history like I am.
