they're cool concepts, but all look ripped from current cars...first one looks like an aston martin rip, 2nd one an audi r8/bugatti hybrid, 3rd a mercedes E350, and last one a lexus LFA/tesla hybrid

Concept cars are just that. Proof of concept. Even after they make a full-size prototype, there are other issues that drive the project to actual production.

I know but dammit they used that stingray concept in transformers.... :comeon: I'm like they'll put it in a movie but wont let any average joe buy one huh???

Even if it's a street legal version or modified one, why not put them out there. You wanna make money go from concept to production and see what happens. shyt can be done...

It's all about money. How the car would fit in their line up. If you already have a car that is similar (4 door mid-sized sedan, 2 door sports car, etc.), you usually don't have two cars that are similar to each other and competing for the same sales.
A lot of cars we see go through various stages of concept, like the Ford Probe. It looked like a George Jetson-like space ship in its first rendition.
It's a big gamble to put out a concept car, money wise. There's a lot of expensive permanent tools that are created to build an assembly line car, like the forms used to stamp sheetmetal into doors and frames.
