I listen to a lot of podcasts, with white men, and I notice that dynamic

The white guy is riveted by a black guy talmbout simple stuff (I forget the time [on this ep] , but, the part where they talk about Lebron's grill)

It annoying because you know it's because they don't interact with anyone outside of their culture and will go to another person with that "I know black people" swag

They react like you're described a modern Amazonian tribe deep in the jungles of South American, that's never seen the outside world

Idk I always looked it as more of a Normal guy @ an NBA safari type thing. Jalen's and every other NBA player's experiences are gonna be vastly different from his. And also I think he plays up his surprise at things for dramatic effect, like when Jalen said Lebron had a grill on. I'd hope he wasnt really that amazed at that

It's very refreshing to hear us talk about us. I don't think many sportscasters good have conveyed LeBron's feeling of relief like Jalen just did.

True, that's a majority of their eps (stealing Pat Ewing's TV, Jalen talking about the way he spent his check, How Jalen didn't buy blinds, but, covered his windows with newspaper because he didn't think he'd play for that team for long), but, it goes to black voyeurism, sometimes.

BTW Jacobi's good in my book, except when he gets groupie-ish don't get me started on the eps when Bill sits in (also cool with me)
