the ppl who lost shoulda stuck to it though :ehh:

Stock has doubled in three years...not too shabby. I wont front...I wasnt a believer in FB's business model but as long as companies / old white marketing execs throw em money for advertising they'll continue to feast. Little do they know ppl dont be using fb like that anymore

Yea, I didn't know what to think myself. Word to an old head, Professor Kane, from my high school. Bought hella apple stock when it was cheap and their BIG product was
4352463_orig.png
Mad overpriced, underpowered, and were about to shift to Intel processors instead of Power PC. Little did he
know that while MP3 players weren't a new thing, the first Ipod turned his few thousand worth of stock into tens of thousands, and by the end of High school a few hundred thousand.
shyt was bananas getting updates on his portfolio. I should have asked about getting in the investment game. Coulda been spending that Yugioh and Magic the Gathering money
on some businesses that are booming nowadays.

fukk, you came up then. I am a staunch windows guy, and Apple wasn't doing so well at the time. They were coming off the Microsoft cash infusion, and I was still a young'n. Had I put in
just a couple thousand over the years, I could be eating good right now. Then again, I didn't know that Apple releasing the fukking Ipod would turn them into a money-printing machine a few years later. Same with Iphone. Smartphones existed before, although they were less complex and called Palm-Pilots, and Iphone ate Blackberry's lunch. Then the Ipad. That one was kinda
easier to see, cause all attempts at tablets before didn't really catch on. By that point it was safe to assume everything they did for the next decade or so was printing money.:wow:

Yeah I did I put all my graduation and summer job money mostly in the stock but honestly it was more luck back then. I'm dead ass serious when I say that them iMacs really made me think the company was going to do something lol. I've gotten better at it and now I'm not just buying of nice looking computers lol. Still have to give my mom the main props though.

Yea, what turned me off is that my mom bought me a few oem (HP, Emachines)computers over the years up to that point, and I remember whenever I came across some money, they were NEVER
easy to upgrade. Video card weak? Buy a new one. Ohsnap, the OEM power supply is a 200-watt offbrand that will probably kill the card.:shaq2:

I figured that closed-ecosystem shyt would stay a niche, even though the colorful monitors, that got smaller over time, were nice to look at.

The Ipod revolution fukked all my expectations up. Then they had people dropping 3gs for a fukking Macbook Air back in the day:what: shyt was a couple years behind
on technology and people spent that on a worse performing laptop that couldn't even use the fukking fountain of software available for Windows.

:manny:Never would have guessed they would be up there with the Boeing's and the Walmart's and the Oil companies as far as big money.

Pretty impressive but I would always be weary of social app valuations. As hot as IG is right now it could take a dive in a few years when the next big thing comes out. Social apps depend solely on if a lot of people use it and once it people start leaving it takes a dive fast (ie Myspace).
