Because trade deficits aren't an inherently bad thing, and it led to absurd tariffs on places that don't even have people. Tariffs shouldn't be one size fits all, but Trump is lazy and stupid. Also, across the board tariffs just push people away from the US as a trading power and slam the brakes on US consumer spending.

This is so ridiculous that it is actually absurd. The President of the United States is destroying economies all over the World even though he doesn't understand what trade deficits and tariffs are. His goofy actions are collapsing markets to the point that there will probably be a Worldwide recession and possibly even a Worldwide depression. The President has multiple experts that he could utilize in his assessment, of tariffs, including Nobel peace prize winners, but instead of using them he uses a ficticious person named Ron Vara aka Peter Navarro. Mind you now Peter Navarro is crazier than the Mypillow clown.
