I'm not going to lie, I purchased an x100 take good pictures but also look good in them. I have a good grasp on photography, but as far as my friends go, not so much. I understand it is a complicated camera but most my friends don't even know how to focus or frame properly. I understand they don't enjoy photography as much as I do but they seem to catch attitudes when I ask them to take more pictures. At the same time, when I take photos, I am always bugged about uploading them. And more often than not, the pics I take become profile pics, liked pics, etc.

Anyway you guys recommend to teach friends how to take a good picture? It feels snoody asking them to take pictures from certain angles but I gotta look good too.

I just tell them what to do.

I get in position and tell them to Half press the shutter so it finds the focus and snap.

Most people are used to using camera photos so I dont think they need instructions on how to take a pic.

or we just take a selfie haha

looks like you're rocking the x100 too.

Maybe I just expect too much for them to use some imagination but usually they just stand still and snap a picture more often than not. I'll give it a try.

Yeah don't sweat them, it will annoy them more than support them. But if you do, you can do it playfully like "it's nice, could you make some others though so I can choose which one is the best ?" or something like that. Don't be too directive and let them enjoy trying. Maybe it will lead them to appreciate the craft.
