Mine have been going up, not that much maybe 10-20% last few years. It's bullshyt, called around and everyone is expensive.
I don't know if this is true, but I think someone said it has to do with fraud in other states (why all those insurers leaving Florida for one).
The principle of it pisses me off. I'm thinking about lowering my coverage as a FU back to them.

I work in the industry and it's going up all across the country and most insurance companies are or have stop writing new business for personal lines/ homes

yup, mine went up from like $525 to $615 (every 6 months) this time around, which was monday coincidentally.
I did shop around and couldn't find anything significantly cheaper that gave me the same coverage. FYI, I got my car insurance thru costco.
