Intelligence genes discovered by scientists

looks like intelligence works as many suspected.

It's a network of genes that work like an orchestra. They describe as a "football team."

Many people hyped up China as the future of genetic research because they aren't supposedly held back by western PC restraints. Looks the folks at BGI lost the race.

with CRISPR here, super humans are a real possibility. The nation that embraces real investments (not education but genetic modification) in human capital is going to lead the world.

the article now mentions that it is now possible to modify intelligence. The time is now.

also, think about the coming class divide. My company covers tube babies, and so does most of the big F500.

I think there is going to be a time in the near future where upper middle class babies are born "enhanced" while babies in the lower classes are born with un-optimized genetics. The divide is going to be far worse than now

how cost effective is it for a society at large to sustain large swaths of inefficiency indefinitely?

Europe and the USA run huge amounts of debt supporting the inefficient. People predicted a total collapse by now but it didn't happen.

it will probably continue for a long time.

and if counties that provide genetic enhancement begin to out compete the us and europe, what then?

Hey do you know the name of the genes?

It's not cost effective at all, and I suspect they'd only allow it to go on as long as it takes to phase them out completely with robots/computers, and get the general public to accept that transition.

unwanted changes and alterations
this shyt ain't 100% perfect yet

go jump the gun doe
your son will have a thumb for a dikk

Its a start, but I think gene editing tools like Crispr will need to mature first and we have to test this on animals. If we can create apes that could talkand solve simple math problems without no side effects, then I could see this being tested on humans.Apes and Humans are very similar.

Comeon now.. you know the answer to this... :usure:

there is only one answer...

the large percentage of the pop that is inefficient and redundant will be culled
