College sports is a big-money business, with football and basketball programs generating millions of dollars in revenue every year. While coaches and athletic directors in Division I programs routinely score seven-figure contracts, student-athletes are currently prohibited from sharing in the profits. Is it time to rewrite the rules in college sports and allow athletes their fair share of the profits? Or would providing monetary incentives -- above and beyond existing scholarships and career supports -- spoil the sport?

Yes, guys playing high profile sports in other countries don't even go to college, they turn pro and get paid from the age of 15/16. USA is the only country that does this fukked up shyte that I know of.

There is no fukking debate. Old white men getting rich off the hard labor of young black men.

About as close to modern day slavery as you can get.

That's why I don't get mad one bit when these cats take these boosters money. That alone tells you the boosters know the real deal.

How many times is this discussion gonna come up? Of course College athletes should be paid, or at least make money off their name, shouldn't be illegal for a player to make money of their autograph. Got a lot of College Athletes that are popular enough have endorsement deals in college, Lamar Jackson and Baker Mayfield for example. There should be no restrictions as to how a College Athlete makes money.

You pay the coach of the team $5 million dollars, but don't pay the players anything?. It's a joke. They should get paid.
