It's always a white man with a black woman in the media. Yet in real life it's the complete opposite.
Damn really late reply but there is a reason for this. In Hollywood, black actors rarely get love interests that aren't black. This is due to hollywood not wanting to offend their main audience: white men. Black actresses audition for roles that call for white women all the time. And sometimes they even get those roles (see zoe saldana's career) but the opposite never happens. A friend of mine worked for an acting agency and he told me some stories. When a casting director is looking for an actress, agents can send black and white actresses. When the casting director is looking for an actor to be a love interest he must be white. Hollywood doesn't want to piss off its main insecure clientele: white men.
