yes I'm a female and I am attractive but I'm black and this is a white college town
Ok sista, I feel you, you mos def wanna be on your Ps and Qs if you the only negro, but if you Nia Long status don't think it will matter

well I think google can help you out, but these are basics:
1) You need to know what a rental contract is and generally what it contains probably, and general terms
- Your company is the lessor, your clients will be the lessee, everything follows from that
- You will need to know eviction law in your state (e.g. 30 days, 60 days, at will, etc)
- Common lease terms (in your case it will probably be either month-to-month or yearly)
- You should probably look up an apartment leasing glossary for basic vernacular
2) You will probably want to be proactive, especially as a minority, so you should be asking these types of questions to your interviewer (ALWAYS ask questions):
- What will my position entail (I'm not sure if you will be just a glorified assistant or a salesperson

)
- What are your general lease terms?
- Generally what do you look for in terms of deposit?
- Is credit a factor?
- How many vacancies do you have right now, and if you have a target occupancy rate?
- And of course if everything is going good, you hit 'em with the classic "So when do I start?"
^^^Basically you wanna show you know something about real estate, and whatever you don't know, you're eager to learn. It would be a good idea to check the website of the rental company to learn more about your potential employer as well The trick is to get them running their mouth as much as possible (basically invest time in you) and pay attention and take notes. The longer they talk, the better the odds are you're getting hired. Good luck you chocolate bunny you and let me know if you need anything else
