I recently came across a black contractor. I was driving and saw him and his team working on a house in my area. I pulled over and got his info. He does really good work.

He has no web presence, no marketing, nothing.

I know I could triple his business just by doing minimal things like placing ads and having a website.

I’m thinking of approaching him about partnering up.

How would you guys go about it? I would only be able to help him on weekends but I’d rather be an absentee owner and just help with the business side.

Thoughts?

I've done this for several folks - real estate, shyt even barbershops, small home businesses etc

He most likely will not sign a partnership (which he shouldn't, you haven't really presented any facts on why he should give up rights to his company to you beside ideas) but he could take your offer on the website/advertisement if the responses are good

You should do it has your own business/freelance helping another business. Figure out how'll you'll like to get paid.

I'd either:
1. Tell him you'll build the site, rank it etc for free and once he sees the increase in sales, setup a monthly maintenance fee
2. do leadgen and arrange a % for every customer you get him.
3. similar to 2 but you start your own service and sub-contract the work out to him
