As explained by AppleInsider and 9to5Mac, the analyst notes that this presumed OLED iPhone with its $1,000+ pricetag will be similar in size to the current 4.7-inch iPhone. However, instead of the home button, it will include a "function area" that can also display controls for video or games.

That would keep it matched in style with the recently-released MacBook Pros and their OLED TouchBar, and, the analyst says, reduce the screen size used for everything else to about 5.15-inches.

Analyst rumor: iPhone 8 'function area' to replace home button

:whoo: I'm thinking its true, which is why they killed the homebutton. The current "button" works flawlessly and moves closer to a single sheet of glass on the front

Will be copping for the wife. (Still rolling with my 6 for two more years)

Unless if they do like they did with the new MacBook Pros and raise the fukk out of the price. If they do that then fukk them.

Sounds cool and all, but it's just gonna get hampered by iOS. If they make it open to apps I'll be interested.

I can see the LG G6 prolly doing the same feature with the bar since they're coming out with a wide aspect screen. If they do I'm finally getting rid of samsung :blessed:
