Low key my tin foil hate opinion is I think Iran is one of them “they are our enemies and we want to destroy them” - “but not really because we like them being useless” like how we really don’t want to defeat Russia.Islam is unsustainable in the long run.
But Iranians are intelligent and can see it now, unlike most of the Arab/Persian world.
Their last act will be to wipe Israel off the map before their regime collapses.
We don’t want a competent government running Iran because means another competitor. Where the wealthy Arab states are really just Arab slave societies where the elite sell resources to keep the west economies afloat - and that’s all they ever will be - Iran has the potential to be a world power.
Highly educated, diverse and liberal minded populace. Proud history of state building, an ancient history. A lot like China actually.
It’s why we’ve never really tried to oust the Ayatollah but just keep him bottled up in his country. A free Iran advanced is dangerous to the world order and wouldn’t get their asses kicked Israel all the time

I posted Polymarket tongue in cheek but they’ve had a recent history of being spot on with their “predictions”.
