steam shows that most PC gamers are still playing at 1080p :scusthov:

da fukk :gucci:

as someone thats been on that 4k OLED wave since 2020, that shyt is inconcievable to me :skip:

now gaming on a 24" 1080p monitor is one thing, but imagine the broke bois still playing on a 50+ inch tv at 1080p :pachaha:

It's because despite all the memes that get tossed around, most the PC base really isn't flexing with the newest gear like that. There's a LOT of folks piecemealing machines together, and working with old monitors that max out at 1080P.

1080p is kinda low.

But i don’t really notice sub 4k in most games on my oled. Upscaling is really good now. Unless you are all up on the tv counting pixels you can’t really tell. :manny:

This is why I don't agree with "There's no 4K content" as a reason for not upgrading. At this point, any halfway decent 4K TV, and especially OLEDs, will do a good to great job of upscaling non 4K content.

Nope. No reason u shouldn't be gaming, at minimum, at 1440p. Most FPS games like Warzone is best at 1440p.

Most gaming monitors max out at 1080p or 1440p. The reason for this is because they usually have high refresh rates from 120hz to 240hz. A monitor that's 4k and at least 120hz is going to set you back a lot of $$$.

And outside of that, most people on PC are min-maxing their configuration for framerate > resolution / fidelity.

on a smaller screen, the 4k is overkill so I get it.

1080p is noticeably blurry for me on my LG CX 48. The game has to be 1440p, at least.
