Once again it’s not what you make it’s how you manage what you make.
This much, I'll agree with.Any city or state where Mcdonalds is paying $20/hr is a high cost of living. He's a manager, but that still ain't shyt
With my raise I'm getting I'm at about $28 an hour. I can't wait to get over $30.Its fine, most people wish they made that much, you know how long took me cross that mark?
I started in 2014 at minimum wage ($7.25) and below are my hourly amounts I was from then until now (2014 -2023)
$10.50
$9.00
$9.50
$10.00
$10.50 (Again)
$10.00 (Again)
$11.00
$14.00
$16.00
$19.00
$31.50 ( As of today)
It took me ten years to cross $20 per hour![]()

Yes
That’s exactly what that means. Americans are for the most part POOR. Allowing the wealthy and corporations to horde every piece of wealth.
Edit: 20 an hour in this economy is crazy. You’ll never own your own anything with that. Unless you bought years ago good luck with that. Its a decent salary if you’re still building yourself professionally and still have people to fall back on but it’s not a long term amount by any means
If you’re in your early 20s and it’s your first job, then 20 an hour is fine.
No grown man regardless of where you live should be comfortable making 20 an hour. Especially if you have kids. That’s a joke.
) you would be lucky to find a fast food job that paid 10/hr.I wouldn’t put a real timetable on it, just something to hold you down, while looking for something better. I spent 2 years on a security gig, that payed 19.00 until I found something better. It was a little longer than I would’ve liked, but it all worked out. What’s temporary in a job setting? 3-6 months? A year?
these nikkas live in Decatur, IL paying $700 for rent and have little to no ambitionI'll say it again, if you got a couple both making $20/hr, it works. By yourself? shyt will be tough. Back in 2001 - 2005 I remember folks saying if you made $45k you was eating good. And you was. Not sure of other places, but rent in Memphis for a decent spot was like $400/month. Now?? Not so much
Most of the coli probably lives in Arkansas or somewhere to think it's a great income.
I feel you, I couldn't believe I skipped from 19 to 31 in one job changeWith my raise I'm getting I'm at about $28 an hour. I can't wait to get over $30.![]()

I'd waste food if I was spending 300 a month on food.Because you need a roommate to live on $20/hr.
Breh really said $300/month on food is too much.
Y'all living on noodles and bread and call that comfortable great living.![]()
