I think that it all depends on who is answering the question. Some older folks my disagree if Ali is from their era. Who knows, maybe I speak for myself, I do not think that this is an illegitimate question.

Then again, I am a 90's kid.

And I dont think there was a mention of putting over the other... Whether if Iverson had an impact.

He made an impact on me. My fave basketball player and simply because he never let them change him.

He is not even the first in the NBA. How about Kareem Abdul Jabbar and Bill Russell? They were outspoken and very bright men that spoke on race and societal issues.

Even clown ass Charles Barkley made a relevant statement once in a while when he played.
