Not to defend her becuz I don't care about her at all but using your logic you're saying that Hannibal shouldn't have been recognized as one of, if not the greatest General of all time just becuz he failed to destroy Rome even though he was extremely close

Hannibal may have ultimately failed but he was definitely legendary

Hannibal conquering literally every other locale he stepped foot on is no way a failure. Bad comparison :gucci:

Hannibal's ultimate goal, the promise he made to his father, was to destroy Rome

He failed at that (although he was close to capturing Rome) but that doesn't diminish his greatness as a general. Did u read my post correctly?

And what he achieved in the process exceeded the single vow he made. Hannibal isn’t famous because he failed to destroy Rome. He’s famed because of everything else he did including that. Alexander the Great is known as the most successful conquerer in history. Not because he failed to reach the pacific. Amelia is famed because of what she failed at. Not what she achieved (she should be). That’s the difference.

I don't even think you're even on the same page as I am

Who the hell said Hannibal is famous becuz he failed to destroy Rome? I said he failed at his ultimate goal. Which is a fact. He's famous becuz he's probably the greatest general of all time. What are u even arguing with me about?:mjtf:My original post is a direct response to the OP who by his logic is saying Hannibal is overrated. U got a problem, take it up with the OP not me

That’s the comparison you made whether you said it or not breh. Amelia Earhart is best known for failing to fly around the planet. Hannibal is not best known for failing at his own goal. He is best known as being a great conqueror. Amelia should be known as being a great pilot but she’s not, she’s known for trying to fly around the planet and disappearing. It’s semantics but it still was a bad comparison to use Hannibal.
