No such thing as too big to fail.

The garbage heap of history is filled with people who think the sun will never set on their empire, that their the eternal people. Never realizing their in decline until far past the point where it could be stopped/managed.

2020s will probably be the decade for the usa's reckoning

For the people that are saying America could fall... please explain how? :mjpls:
We may have the biggest military but we are not the best at cyber warfare. A significant hacking attack could hurt us.
Half the country only makes $30K or less. And most people cannot afford a $1000 + emergency. A violent revolution possible?
If other countries go back to a commodity based monetary system that would be detrimental to the dollar. A quick Spike in inflation/collapse of the economy.

comparing america to empires where they relied on subjugating foreign lands to produce wealth for the "homeland" is foolhardy. now if america was reliant on enslaving or colonizing foreign lands to steal their resources it would be another matter. even now our wars are about making sure we have access to BUY resources and we don't even get exclusive access. our naval domination is basically ensuring the safe passage of goods for the entire world at no charge to them.

70% of america's economy is consumer spending.

Of course it is. The big 7( England/UK, France, Germany, Switzerland etc) are too dependant on America to the extent that they would give America a huge(trillion dollar) loan to rejuvenate its economy given financial austerity.
