and thats a good thing. It should be about the art. not the artists. He's right. It's not about the actors anymore, it's all about the IPs they are starring in.
Just wait until AI can seamlessly produce not only actors, but movies, storylines, and craft the scenes. The "movie star" will be a thing of the past. You'll only have social media "celebrities" and athletes.
Yep. Movie studios will be filled with "prompt engineers" and they'll put 3 or 4 of them on a movie at a time and just churn out movies. They may have a director or cinematographer in there to iron out some of the wrinkles with camera placement and lighting and fine tune some dialog. But that'll be it.An AI action star would be hilarious
Dominic Myers is our last hope in .... FINAL ARMEGEDDON!!!!!!

If they want to stay relevant they need to pick up that pen like George Lucas and create their own IP.
I'm glad the era of actors being their own franchise is over. The Rock's acting career is an example of why we don't miss it. Thats what happens when you make movies about the star rather than the IP.
Anybody cosigning Mackie here is basically saying, they prefer more movies like Red Notice to be made instead of blockbuster movies Like Star Wars.![]()
They make trash moves too. Mummy was Trash, Bright was Trash, Bruce willis last few movies were trash (not his fault tho) Gladiator 2 was mid, Stallone went full maga and Expendables was 10 years too late.
STAR WARS HAS BEEN TRASH
FOR A LONG TIME THOUGH.
GIVE ME TOM CRUISE/ WILL SMITH/
BRUCE WILLIS/DENZEL/STALLONE/ARNOLD ETC
OVER THAT shyt YOU TALKING

Rather a movie be good regardless, but peak for peak, I prefer Empire Strikes back over Bad Boys 2. Or Avengers Infinity over Mission Impossible.
Those were just two examples. My point was i like those big franchise IPs better than a star driven action flick.
