From what I heard these studios make most of their money off DVD sales and rentals. Which is considered almost 100% straight profit for them.

Ya I felt like I noticed it instantly.. I went to Hollywood video often and saw how quickly a movie was being released and than it dawned on me that I was cuz of the bootlegging

These young kids just don't know how bad it was back in the days. Movies use to take like 8 to 10 months before it on home video.

That's true but you have to remember a movie used to stay in a theater a lot longer then they do now. Some movies would stay in the theaters for almost a year.

Studios would keep them out longer so they could make their money back. Then make you starve :drool: for the video or dvd to come out years later.

Breh, Kevin Smith was telling a story of how expensive it was to rent videos back in the day and the guy on his show was co-signing because he used to work at a video store as a college kid in the 80s and not only were the prices to rent out of this world but the late fees were astronomical.
