Its not her people saying it. Its a man who claims he heard it growing up as a little boy near the original site of the tribe.
I didnt know about him or this book until now.

ill have to read that book to link it up with the other books iveread. most scholars DENY the first husband. hes now saying he exists...but only bc he heard he did growing up.

the question wasnt her not having a kid at all,.... it was her not having a kid with the tribesman her father made her marry. and the qiestion i always had was of she was married when she met smith. she herself in many books i read said her father didnt value her. and it was even to the point where he used her as a peacy treaty. in that tribe, her father had many children. all with different mothers. one child per female. pocahontas was given away. trust if she was raped at a young age there would have been a slaughter. the war would have continued. there would never have been peace if this tribe was being attakked by the british and the women raped. gtfoh.
and the english thought she was the favorite daughter bc she was given up. nope. she was replaceable.
there is so much to this story. and i just found out now that some man named little bear is claiming she was married at 11 and bore a son.
so does that mean she then met smith after her husband died only a year later??
and that the 1 year old child was raised by others while she went to jamestown?????!
that tribe only gave birth to one child per female. makes no sense

Well as I said there no real irrefutable record of the exact circumstances of her life. Not even her age.

Some people in her own tribe argue that her account of things was influenced by her captors.

Neither side or her claims she was stolen and rapped at 12 years old.
