i'm binge-watching dexter right now and I really do think its the best way to consume a show. I wish I got to do that with breaking bad because there's a lot of little things and details I forgot about waiting a week between episodes and a year between seasons. binge-watching keeps everything fresh in your mind, and its ideal for a new series like 'house of cards'. I can't even imagine waiting a week to watch a new episode of that

its typically how I watch a show, usually waiting for the show to be over. My work schedule is crazy cause i go from 80 hrs a week in the summer to not many hours at all in the winter, so I use the winter to get caught up on TV. Two winters ago we got so much snow couldnt leave the house so I sat and watched the entire series Oz in like 2 weeks  last winter I did the Game of Thrones thing, and then got pissed I had to wait a year for the shyt to be on again....

I'd rather binge watch bc I don't like being held in suspense for up to weeks or months but that calls for resisting the urge to be in the loop w/ the water cooler talk. depends on the individual and how much in the know you want to be......

Depends on the show and on the viewer. I don't mind watching my shows week to week. Yeah the breaks between episodes can suck but binge watching is a new thing and I been watching TV since I was a kid and there was no binge watching in the 90s. I couldn't take it if I didn't watch Justified and waited until it came out on home video or Amazon Instant to catch it. That shyt would suck

I think so yeah. I remember watching the majority of season 4 of The Wire in one session, the quality of the show helped though.

btw, end your binge watching at season 4 of Dexter :sadcam:
i'm on season 6 and i'm still enjoying it :leon:

while its def more convenient and u miss the commercials, i don't think you process all the details in the episodes, if you're watching one after another. Plus talking to other people after the show, and trying to think about whats going to happen next, elevates the experience.

if i could binge watch every show i would. i agree its ideal. i love watching like 5 episdoes of a show back to back but honestly i just dont have the willpower. when i saw the first episdoe of true detective i thought to myself "damn i should just hold off on watching any more episodes til the season is over. this would be the perfect show to binge watch on a lazy, rainy sunday afternoon" but when a show is that good i just cant wait that long. i dont have it in me brehs.

but i will say that when you have a show that you really like thats currently being aired it does give you something to look forward to during the week.
