OR… Marketing to black people has been consistent enough to influence behaviors over generations and that marketing technique was born out of white supremacy.

Yes.
I kind of understand that point that he is trying to make but he worded it badly.

Going to the club/bottle service etcetera is not the destroyer of Black wealth per se but that we spend money at times haphazardly because yolo but also that is more a symptom of a greater issue that it's hard for Black men under 40 to see a real future for themselves.
Yeah we need more emphasis on community/nation building.

I hear you, but in this case it is true.

White supremacy isn't always the case for destruction of black wealth. How many of us are making straight As in school? How many going to college/military/trade school? Truth is, a lot of us have made bad decisions, and that has nothing to do with white supremacy.

I know 3 older black folks who went to the military, did 30 years, and retired. Now they living very plush in their late 40s.

A lot of people have a very defeatist outlook on life. You're definitely right that too many people blame their shortcomings on white supremacy. Is it a factor in American life? Definitely! But a lot of poor choices people make isn't do to it. Some people gotta own up to the consequences of their own choices. I know a lot of brehs that too the military route and are living amazing because they got those benefits and elevated. But also know some that flamed out of the military due to drugs, being an idiot, or just not taking it seriously. They're right back in their neighborhood blaming others. This isn't the 40s,50s,60s. A lot of people have much more control of their destiny

I worked on a side project quantifying the entire nightlife industry about 5 years ago. In all, it was about $30 billion a year. That's all races of people.

$30 billion isn't saving black folk. $30 billion isn't making a dent in student loan hell.

Not saying everyone doesn't deserve a voice, but I ain't going to a DJ for group economics information.

Dude said hundreds of millions of dollars...:mjlol:
