think about this , and spare me this being an anti democrats things. im not gonna vote green or promote voting green you partisan dudes, but just make this argument against this for me

how often do we ever hear about ross perot LEGIT costing bush sr the election? we hear waaaaaayyy more about Nader who got like 5 percent of the vote and I know this is recent so thats part of it but we even hear more about stein and her one percent of the vote. these people did not cost the dems the election thats laughable. in naders case Gore won Fl and the republicans stole the election, but we hear more about Nader than even that ! am I lying ? dems bytch about nader more than the republicans doing a fukkin coup.

also in 2016, gary johsnon got like 5 times the votes of stein and trum still "won", the dems lost by less than 100K votes combined in 3 swing states and you focus more on someone who got one percent of the fukking vote.

why are dems such whiners on 3rd parties ?

It is one of the greatest tragedies in recent American political history that Ralph Nader is seen as a pariah, and not the GOP actually stealing the election.

edit: especially considering all the great things he did for Americans.

This isn't even true.
Clinton won the election, taking 43 percent of the popular vote and 370 electoral votes, while Bush won 37.5 percent of the popular vote and 168 electoral votes.[261] Perot won 19% of the popular vote, one of the highest totals for a third party candidate in U.S. history, drawing equally from both major candidates, according to exit polls.

If is also a bad assumption on their part that they are entitled to those votes. More likely the people who voted 3rd party wouldn't vote at all if only two options were available.

I know someone who votes 3rd party. I know for a fukking fact he would stay at home if only offered a vote for either the Republicans or Demidcrats :unimpressed:

Republicans were bytching heavy about the Tea Party when it was running high. It's not a Democrat thing. It's just their turn.

Liberals literally bytch about anything. It's why it's so hard for them to do shyt. Though 3rd parties are typically spoilers to usher in conservative candidates. See Georgia and Liebermans son.

Honestly I don't think they do

Trump is a nationalist and the LP is pro immigration and pro free trade

Gonna disagree with you a bit there

Its generally accepted that greens take from dems and libertarians take from repubs. Obviously it's not always that simple but yeah. Many more libertarians would vote for Republicans if they dropped their stances on weed and being pro life for example

Gang violence...
yes, democrats fear 3rd parties more. it's understandable when you have a diverse party. the fear is that when you sacrifice the interests of a segment of your constituency in order to placate the others (which you have to do sometimes), you may permanently lose enough of them to a 3rd party that you will never win close elections again. blacks have the least options, so we get sacrificed the most. the green party appeals most to white leftists who are living at least an acceptable life no matter who wins. most blacks dont feel safe enough to punish democrats and those few that do get chastised endlessly, lol.

republican voters are super crackers. they dont fear punishing the RNC. they are going to be ok no matter what. voting is all about getting what they want and not balancing their desires with the needs of any other demographics. the republican voter is more entitled, so their choice to vote libertrarian have to be respected by the RNC.

This is especially true in 2020. 87% of Democrats support Medicare For All, and 67% of all voters do, regardless of party affiliation. It's a massively popular policy position, and the pandemic is really making a lot more people on all sides more open to M4A and UBI.

I think Democrats should be more worried about a low turnout this year from Democrats who want more policies that are popular among the base, but don't seem to be favored by Biden/Harris. I've seen a lot of "they haven't earned my vote yet" talks in progressive spaces online.

That's what one would think, but I remember Gary Johnson mentioned after the 2016 election that he "took" more votes from Hillary than Trump (if I can find the link for this later I'll post it). The LP's platform is nothing like Trumpism, though it's also far removed from the Dem's base as well.
It seems like the go to "protest vote" since it's the largest 3rd party.

That is reasonable. I suppose it also simply depends on the candidates in a given year.

What is Aleppo? :lolbron:with all due respect I wanna see some numbers rather than Gary Johnsons opinion. I'll do a little digging myself
