gambino on the other hand has far greater quality control and seems to make much more calculated and thought out music.

You know Charles fathered Gambino's style right? lol
You know Gambino is a fan right?
You know Gambino has sampled Charles in his music right?
You know Gambino is getting recognition for his "concept" projects after every Charles project follows some sort of theme or concept right?
You know Charles has given Gambino a shout out too right?

There is a reason they are both compared so much, wouldn't have Gambino if it wasn't for Charles tbh.

Even if this were true, which I have trouble believing because they're really not alike, Hamilton is like a piece of coal ready to turn into a diamond. Gambino is much closer to the diamond.

Hamilton's beats and songs, even if you like that sort of stuff, are little more than concepts. There's no follow-through. People see some talent but anybody can tell you it hasn't come to any fruition. He needs a real executive producer and some help to get where he needs to be. Gambino is pretty much there.
