One says "We can do it"..the other says "If you're a gentleman you'll do it for me." :jbhmm:

Chivalry really is just social politeness, I open the door for women because I'm nice person, not out of a sense of obligation.
Feminism is a socio-economic ideological movement to fight for total equality, intersectional and all.
They aren't in total contradiction, and the vast, vast majority of chivalrous conduct has been eliminated in it's entirety since the Middle Ages.

Nah, because feminism isn't really about 'equality'. It's about female superiority and privilege, and chivalry falls right into line with that. Women don't have to cook, clean, be submissive or any of that, but men need to protect women, pay for their dinners and give them all of the benefits that came from traditionalism.

You're reaching. Chivalrism supports the belief women are delicate, more emotional beings than men and need to be protected by the dominate, more superior men. But women still need to cook and do favors for men who protect them. They're the backbone and the man is the head. :manny:

How many of these self-proclaimed modern, chivalrous dudes are getting women to cook, clean or follow their lead? And yet they are still paying for these women and trying to act the perfect gentlemen. When chivalry is referred to in modern terms, NEVER does it refer what a woman needs to do for a man, only what a man needs to do for a woman.

it's a real shame what the extremist have turned feminism into. instead of men=women, they seem to want men<women. the first is what should have happened all along, the second is just reversing the discrimination.

I'm talking about traditional terms of chivalry and what it's been referred to for decades up until now. I don't know why fukkboys decided to twist the meaning out to fit some weird worship of the female sex. :manny:
I guess you can find those classic types in South and East Europe.

Pretty much. Feminists want to eliminate any and all gender roles which means there's no need for chivalry.

Fake feminists want power not equality. They want all the benefits alotted to them by the traditional men but none of the traditional responsibility:

"Spend your money on me, sacrifice for me, live your life for me; I will spend my money on me, never sacrifice for you and live my life for myself."

That is the modern "faux feminist" and I use the word feminist loosely because I don't want to give the women who DO want equality in the gender construct to get lumped in with the former.
Im a chivalrous guy by nature. I got it from my dad in seeing how he treated my mom and assumed thats how you are supposed to treat your woman. Not any and every woman, but YOUR woman. I pull out chairs, walk between strangers and the street, walk in first in the evenings etc. I can count on my hand the amount of times my girlfriend of 2yrs touched a door before I did. My new girlfriend is a bit hardheaded so she is at around 9 times already (yes, I count) just a couple months in.:beli: If you see me maneuvering around awkwardly to try and get to your door as you do, don't open the damn thing when I'm a foot away. :beli::beli::beli: Just let me get it. :bryan:
