It took me 21 years to figure this out, but better late than never:manny:

I make decent money for a 21 year old. Im also in school. Women have the same opportunities I have. Why are men driving women around, paying for meals, etc?

We both work, so why am I obligated to feed her? And sometimes they don't even give up the draws, but sometimes they do. Mine as well pay for sex if that's your prerogative:dame:

I'm sure other brehs are off this but I'm done tricking:blessed:Thats what happens when you don't have an active male figure to put you on game, you learn the hard way:mjcry:

Im married, but when it comes to dealing with other women, I'll hold the door and drive to the destination. That's the extent of my chivalry.

It should be like that when you're single too.:ehh:

I was trying to slide on a 19 yr old. She tossed me to the bushes, then hit me back up about 4 months later. I left her text message on "read"..

I get on snapchat a couple days later and she says "I'm bored, I should've went out on a date tonight."

I'm thinking oh word?:ohhh:translation:I want some Nikka to take me out on the town while I eat/ride for free:stopitslime:

Mind you she has no car, and works part time for some call center:dead:its a dirty game but fukk it I'm done spending my bread on these birds. I'm a student and active duty military. I work too hard to trick!!:demonic:

Chivalry is conditioning a woman to feel she is less than you, because she expects your help.

Sexist fukking pigs:pacspit:

Brehs need to learn how to treat ladies with the respect they deserve.

Go ahead and sit down before her at the restaurant. Dont pull her chair out:camby:She is not a toddler.
She will appreciate that you value her ability to do mundane physical activity.

Walk into buildings first. Hell, dont hesitate to let the door close before she follows you in. It shows character, and she will respect that you went in first as a distraction in case there was danger, and that she could come in after you dispatch the threat.

Dont pick up the check:ufdup:She is an independent woman with new-age ideals. She is probably earning more than you, so let her flex her earning power:obama:She will thank you for it.

Chores around the house? :camby:Her father taught her how to be handy so she wouldnt rely on a man.
What kind of a$$hole would deny her her right to fix shyt? Who do you think you are ole
:cape:"That looks heavy, lemme get them groceries" ass busta:scust:

What next, gassing up her car? Changing her tires?:rocky:Chauvinists:scust:

Chilvary was born during an era when men believed that women were simply incapable of certain actions. A dainty flower isn't a compliment, its a mindset. If you let your girl pick up that box or open your own door, she might break something.

And this was actually more or less the case back then because the noble women (the ones on the receiving end of chivalry) spent much of their time in their keeps away from serfs and and fieldwork. They didn't ride horses, they didn't work with their hands, they didn't get sunlight. They actually were fragile.

I know that is not the case nowadays, but it is very hard to completely divorce modern day chivalry with its clearly patronizing roots.

If you want to be chivalrous now, you just have to go into it knowing that you are doing it as a form of showing kindness to your girl, not because she is incapable.
If you are doing this for her because she is incapable, paying for her daycare, cosigning her car loans, taking out insurance policies together.... you're a simp

Paying for dates is an investment. After you blow her back out she's gonna pay you back tenfold.

Ok..... but this thread is clearly about women and men relationships though... so i'm not going to mention the other forms of chivalry (code of conduct for 12-16century knights)

Unless you mean something else?

Holding the door open isn't about men and women relationships ?

I'm talking about little things like that also .

Oh, yeah there's nothing wrong with that. I didn't condemn any of that in post.
I'm just saying the mindset of Chilvary in 2016 has to be different from 500+ years ago.

If I hold the door for my girl today, its not because I believe she is physically incapable of holding a door.
