That man had it :wow:

Is there a bigger artist with bigger fanfare of all ages than that since MJ :patrice:

And don't say Justin Bieber, even the height of his fanfare he didn't connect with all demographics.

Usher had young women, old women, gay dudes, all going insane, of all races. :ehh:

And had straight dudes tryna be like him. I remember I seen my older brother in his room tryna dance to "Caught Up" :skip:

Chris Brown could have been close, but he beat Rihanna up right after his 2nd album, so he didnt really get to peak. :demonic:

Confessions sold 1.1 million first week, "Yeah" "Burn" "Confessions Part II" and "My Boo" all went #1 and it's certified DIAMOND. :whew:

So is he the biggest?

Insignificant posting from an insignificant poster
Not to mention, the remixes that came out that year:

Dude was in the studio with that Pac work ethic that time around.

Confessions had enough Makaveli-esque unreleased material to put out a quadruple album if he wanted to.

Not to mention the extra curricular shiit he did with Jonathan Smith....

That year (along with Kanye) was his swagnum opus.

Dude was a true tour de force that season.

eminem is/was more popular for obvious reasons.....as much as i dont wanna admit it....
or are you just speaking on the rnb/pop genre?

I don't think Em is fukking with a prime Usher breh.

Prime Usher, like I said, reached out on all demographics. There are people who didnt fukk with Em. I knew hood nikkas who aint fukk with Em, but was blastin Usher.

NONE have reached the popularity of MJ. It depends on if you are just referring to hip hop/r&b artists or all overall. But i'd argue plenty of artists that were on par or more popular than Usher during that time. I actually studied this in one of my classes this summer.

Don't sleep on the teen pop starts in the late 90s early 00s. Britney Spears sold 1.3 million and that's still the highest 1st week sales for a female artist. NSYNC sold over 2 million first week with one of their albums back then as well.

Adele's album in 2011 done sold like 30 million records since then. That album was selling several thousands of records like a year or two after it's release.

Eminem was huge too, best selling artists of the 2000s as well.

"hood nikkas" is a small ass demographic in the US let alone the entire world
eminems popularity then > ushers
eminems popularity now > any form of usher
