Is Corey Holcomb the top underrated comic since Patrice

dave chappelle is severely overrated as being funny. i mean, he's funny, but they literally sit there and think about a bunch of shyt to say when they are doing standup. the patrice guy is just outright not all that funny. and yes, corey holcomb is funnier than both of them imo.

as far as comedy, corey shyts on patrice. never did find him (patrice) to be all that funny. corey sits in a fukkin storage unit each week and comes up with shyt off the top of his head that is funnier than anything patrice or dave chappelle ever did.

Dafuq are you talking about? The fact that they both did improv in the past? Being able to come up with jokes on the spot and do crowd work as opposed to solely relying on written material makes a comedian more talented, not less talented...that's how versatile Chappelle is and Patrice was

Corey influenced Patrice not the other way around.

Corey goes in on gays because he's surrounded by down low homosexual comedians/actors in Hollywood. He talks openly about that being the reason you see untalented dudes popping up in high profile shows with a major studio pushing them. It's his way of calling nikkas out without always saying names...

Corey is my favorite comedian and the best living right now IMO because he wrote all of his material and stand up solo.

Dave Chappelle & Chris Rock made the best specials because they've had the luxury of working with teams of talented writers that help them structure great shows.

The only thing Corey is missing is a support team. I know he doesn't trust anyone in Hollywood but if he found a writer who could help capture his vision he would be the GOAT.

He personally admits that he never played the game correctly.

Chris Rock fukked with Patrice and damn near had the Everyone Hates Chris job over Terry Crews.

Spike Lee fukked with Patrice heavy and wanted him for bigger roles in movies...

Kevin Hart was his roommate at one point.

Dude could have had a syndicated radio show if wanted...

Patrice's problem wasn't crossover appeal, it was that he was basically lazy...he didn't jump thru hoops, but had he put more material out, he would have been bigger.

Anthony Anderson, Terry Crews, and Craig Robinson are all an amalgam of the career he could have had, had he been more on point with his shyt.

2 different approaches Corey's has a more direct approach while Patrice has a philosophical.
Corey is a lot funnier. Some of the funniest shyt I from him was on the foxxhole on SCC and 5150 and that shyt never made it to a stage.

Patrice did not lack crossover ability, black people and white people were pretty deep in the Elephant in the Room crowd. And you are literally the first and only person I have ever heard say Patrice doesn't relate to black people because I have never heeard any black people say anything negative about Patrice's comedy (I heard he was an a$$hole in person though)/.

Thats easy to say once you heard him,but he didn't really operate in black spaces where black people were likely to hear him.
Its the same with Chapelle and Chris Rock but worse. Because Chapelle had standout features in black movies,and Chris Rock had CB4 and some standout features.
I don't think Patrice would have been a great comedic actor,so that probably wouldn't have happened.
We would have had to just found him through standup. Once you do,you can't deny he is funny.

Corey is hilarious as hell and very different from Patrice Oneal to me.

Patrice is a genius and the GOAT story teller, but Corey is a bit funnier. Listening to Corey, definitely made me a funnier person.
