It gives you 20-40 point less than your actual score.

I don't know about that but they claim the two scores are straight from the two credit bureaus they use. The problem with all this shyt is dependent on which FICO scores the people you are trying to get a loan from are using. They can be drastically different.

I've found that the scores aren't true to my real scores. I like MyFico, but I track my credit from my Discover card and Experian credit tracker after I had some fraudulent activity. Experian credit tracker costs me, I believe, $19.99/month, but I get updated any time there's a change in that score. It's worth it to me for the peace of mind it brings. Discover sends me my Transunion score on my monthly statement. I use credit karma just for a ball park estimate though, and it's good for that.

Edit: It also depends on which score a lender pulls, there are different models of the scores. Even enhanced scores for auto loans. MyFico forums taught me so much about the scores, bureaus, and credit in general. It's worth a look if if you get some time!

It is but they give you an average of what it is. I went to my credit union last week ended up taking a look at my fico score which was 20points higher than what the credit karma score I was looking at.

Real simple breh just be consistent and give it time. Pay all your bills on time and keep your credit card utilization below 10%.

Another way to boost your score real quick is have someone with great credit add you as an authorized user. You can even tell them you don't need the card or account number. Tricks the system into thinking you had the card the entire time and been making those payments the entire life of the card. I fukked around and did my sister a solid like that and boosted her score 60 points in less than a month.

My scores range from 757-707, so I'm on my way! Good for you! I sometimes think back like "man, I wish I knew more about the credit game earlier." I've done serious work in these past 4 years after I was advised to file bankruptcy due to a medical catastrophe, but I said no. Made a lot of sacrifices and I'm steady climbing now.

They need to be teaching this in school, especially before some young adult gets their first credit card. My dad did set me up right for that by having me establish credit by buying my first car on my own, when I was 18.
