He's hurt a lot.
But he's a big guy for a RB and doesn't exactly run low to the ground. He takes a lot of hits.

He was so good in college, though.

The overwhelming majority of his injuries have been lower body, too. Have chicken legs playing RB in the NFL, brehs :upsetfavre:
he runs way too high for a running back his size which seems to be his issue, isnt he like 6'2-6'3?

It's both of the things yall mentioned. It's like this season it finally hit me that the Raiders been playing him out of position the whole time. As an all purpose weapon, based at receiver, McFadden woulda been way more effective and could of stayed healthy for longer. Dude literally just runs into the defense like someone would run into a brick wall. No shiftiness, just run fast and hope the defense is a step slow so you can get to the next level. Dude should be an occasional rusher at best.

Yup, and when you combine that with his chicken legs, well you're just inviting bruises & breaks. I'll give him his credit on one thing though: I always thought those toothpick calves of his would have been shattered by some bruising LB Bolo Yeung Bloodsport style

Starts at :40 for the uninitiated :shaq:
