nope. saw them all play

Ewing is overhyped, especially in nyc....im not getting into this anymore...

let's just say i'd take a 4x defensive POY and blocks leaders on a team in Mutumbo and Wallace over a Ewing, a decent scorer and who has no individual accolades and chokes

I would put Ewing the second tier of centers with Mourning and Mutombo but he was more than a "decent" scorer...

This is a solid argument right here breh :salute: never thought about it like this. I was thinking about it more as "legendary skillset" which this nikka does NOT have but the word legend means more than just specifically basketball talent/skill, so it's kinda unfair of me to discredit his legend status by focusing strictly on on-court ability:ehh:

He was sending blocks back 4x a game. 4 blocks a game, with crazy recovery time. A lot of y'all don't remember the finger wave in opponents faces

Ewing is 1st tier and Mourning is 3rd tier ? lol

Whos in the second tier ?

Ewing made Top 50 of All-Time. Since he's been gone there's been very few Cs. And none better. Shaq was the last great C.

Mourning would be 3rd Tier. 2nd Tier would be players like Bill Walton, Unseld and a lot of those ABA guys

I have him 3rd Tier.

First: Shaq, Olajuwon, Kareem, David Robinson. Those are MVPs who turned franchises around.
Second: Ewing, Mourning. Hall of Famers who are great and got MVP consideration, but just fell short in accomplishments compared to the first tier guys. Also carried their franchise on their backs to consistent success.
Third: Mutombo. Multiple time All Stars. Great players, but not exactly franchise game changers.
no Bill Russell??? :scust:

Ewing is not 2 tiers above Mourning...There numbers are similar. They are in the same tier (2nd)

That's right cause Zo averaged 28ppg, 24ppg multiple times, 27 ppg. Zo was a 20 & 10 player, what 4-5x, Ewing 10? I don't even have to look this up. Zo never averaged 22ppg, he wasn't the scorer or rebounder that Pat was. Shot blocking, I'd give you Zo but Patrick had the hands on the steals. Thier numbers are in no way similar. Zo has similar numbers to Brad Daugherty and I'm not even gonna look it up.

Youre downplaying Daugherty like he wasnt a 20/10 player in his prime lol...

Mournings shot blocking and defense makes the comparison closer...Ewing statistically scored better and had higher rebounding numbers but Zo was a 20/10 player in his prime with 4 blocks and 2 POYs...that makes him a second tier big man no less...

The advanced numbers are close and actually Zo had better PER numbers in his prime years, its not as offensive to compare them as you would think...Mourning was sharing the ball with LJ and then hardaway he wasnt clearly dominating the ball like Ewing was with NY...Pats usage numbers are over 30% so of course his scoring numbers will be a little higher...
