No disrespect but are you more of a hip hop fan than R&B? Donnie Hathaway's name comes up all the time still to this day. With that said, i'm not as impressed with his singing voice as others are though, he was above average but not one of the GOATS

I am more a hip-hop fan, yeah. I guess I only have R&B convos with my lady. I think his ability to emote in music and create emotive melodies is what makes him great. I don't think anyone did it better than him.
Nice clean vocals. One of the purest voices in game. Great on the keys. I hold him and Roberta Flack in the same esteem.

Don't want any smoke but overrated IMO. Dude made the GOAT black Christmas song and had some other amazing songs, but a lot of his other ones were boring and bland. I mess with Donny heavy tho RIP
