There was such a sense of accomplishment in finding an album, mixtape, or song before ur ppl heard it. The downfall of Mega and Rapidshare hurt the game for me.... The annoyance of having to wait out the download time limits on these file upload sites is ridiculous

That site is pretty big and reaching new heights right now by getting more international users. Sadly it's banned in Russia
Basic guideline for downloading shyt anywhere:
DON'Ts: click ads; run .exe files; download cracked games or apps; click the wrong download button
DOs: read the comments; see if there's lots of seeders and leechers

Rutracker is vastly safe talking musicwise. Don't know about the other stuff.

I listened to all my rap songs one year and rate them

Took me a year to listen to them all once

So I determined that I have enough music if I can go a year without hearing the same song again.

I have about a dozen albums that I never even unzipped. That had to be 10 years ago at least.

Still got all the songs tho

I think 3000 rap songs lasted me a year.
