Seriously, only LL is more underrated then Drake. I am not even that big of a fan of Drake. I personally think he cries too much and raps feminine but the kid can rap his ass off. He always brings his A game and his verses are coherent, precise, has a message behind it, and he knows outshine any rapper on the track with him. That's all the tools for an elite rapper. Now I know Aubrey is a cornball and half of thinking he's a top tier artist is actually liking the artist so he might not be big with some of you guys. Overall, I think he's a current top 3 rapper if not the best and can range from 8-25 in all time rappers. He will never be a lyricist but Pac is #1 and Drake lyrical ability isn't that far from Pac and Drake makes more hits.
I know some will compare him to Nelly but just going by Country Grammar, that was one of the best rap albums I'd had even if the other Nelly albums were awful. It wasn't Roots, Kendrick, or Nas but I didn't go into expecting those rappers. That's like wanting Larry Bird to dunk like Jordan or Dwight Howard to dribble like Marbury
. I look for quality and value. Drake brings that.
