That's his opinion. But Drake has hopped on songs the masses never would have heard or pushed songs to heights that it never would have reached. While he's ridden waves, much like Jay-Z, he also gave some artists the largest payday they may ever receive.
In reality, he's not my cup of tea, because I'm a coffee guy. Whatever that means....
But it is time for him to transition into more mature stuff, at least in the writing. You can still have your hooks, but chill on the teenage pettiness.
