There isn’t a drill scene in ATL to my knowledge and there’s always been a crime wave there.

Just more cameras and attention on the violence now then the supposed glitz and glamor.

Why make a thread using a video you already posted in another thread? Atlanta don’t even got drill rappers… :snoop:

Is gang based music solely responsible for the crime wave? No. Is it heavily influential in encouraging these teens to engage in such behavior? Absolutely. Only in fantasy land does one believe music isn't having an effect on the youth.

As much as I loathe rap music now and what it represents, I think actual crime is the smallest affect of rap music.

I don't think people are listening to rap music, and then their heads start spinning on some Exorcist ish, and then they're motivated to go shoot or kill somebody.

Theirs soooooo many other negative affects that rap music is having specifically on the black community that I could type up a novel.

Direct crime would actually be near the bottom of the list. Rap music is killing us in so many other ways on some spiritual ish.

BUT with that said, you gotta be a complete idiot in my opinion to not think that the LIFESTYLE glorified in the genre (which also happens to be the world's most popular artform) has absolutely ZERO affect on CERTAIN people (mainly easily manipulated youth from bad environments) , and is tricking them and making it seem like living that thug, street life is "cool"

Drill Rap is damn near the only thing going into the minds of some people and it's injecting a literal demonic spirit inside of them. Atleast some of us balance it out with other forms of positive media, but others, no. All genocide rap and negativity.

Y’all always throw this generic ass statement out there. fukk all this goofy shyt. Is Drill Music Responsible For The ATL Crimewave? The answer is a resounding no. To even debate or entertain such a statement is utterly pointless.

But as always, threads like these serve as a platform for people to be like, “To act like music has no influence…” Man shut that shyt the fukk up. Of course music has influence, as does a lot of other things. We don’t need to qualify answering this ridiculous ass question with that goofy ass, “but hip hop…” Ain’t no buts nikka. Stick to the topic. This a dumb ass thread
