so the hoax was found to be done purposely by Teo or was he a victim?? i didnt really follow it too closely. all i know is that they seem to be highlighting dude a lil too much becuz of that incident and not becuz of actual football
Well, Manti Te'o has a different story than Tebow.
Tebow was glamorized... partly because he looks like a male model... and was a media darling.
Te'o is not being glamorized... mainly because of that flubbed pretend girlfriend story... and he's gotten chastized by the sports media for his performance in his final post-season game.
Hopefully, Tebow can prove himself in a different position.
Te'o can hopefully live down his pretend girlfriend story and live up to his "college regular season" style of play.

Why are you personally hopeful for this?
I think because I want to see people excel instead of fail. People are not garbage. It's not just Tebow. I do want to see even Terrell Owens and Chad Johnson succeed after overcoming odds against them, even if they did it to themselves, e.g. Michael Vick.

i dont think theyll turn him into tebow because i wouldnt say teo having success on the field would be as big of a story. i just hope there isnt extra coverage too long that could be given to other more deserving stories/players. while he looks like a clown, this kekua thing still is getting him notoriety even if its infamy it keeps his name out there and ultimately that could get him money off the field.
just like last year that omg he's so courageous losing his girlfriend and leading notre dame single handedly to the national title game storyline led to him sweeping every award he was up for except the heisman and had people drastically overrating his play.
