Is evil external/societal or internal (Dr. Zacharias/Christian apologist)

Evil is both because in order for it to be external, it has to first be internal. Aren't we all humans, who experience the same emotions? The difference is how we react to these emotions, and our ability to see if they ultimately cause evil, or good, in others. If you see a good looking woman who is in a relationhsip that you know you can entice for sex, do you do it to feel pleasure, or do you ignore it because you see the bigger picture? Some go with how they feel, and now evil is created because you intentionally helped a lady cheat. Once her mate finds out, pain is created, and now he will try to make her pay for what she did. That now creates pain for her. Then when both of them go into their next relationships, the pain will still be there, and come into the new relationship. The new relationship now has to be worked on before it can grow. All from someone being selfish and feeding their ego. That one person helped sow the seed of evil because as these pains grow, the stronger they become, and the more internal they become, with the end result being the making of an evil person who will collect followers. Now, you have an evil society.
If each person did things with others in mind, even if you do things that hurt others, ultimately less evil is created because, you are not doing things intentionally, which will cause others to think twice before retaliating some type of way. That is if they thought about how the reaction will effect others as well. This is why controlling emotions is so important, it allows you to see what reaction is the best to create less problems.
In the end though, evil will always be here because it takes work to control yourself, and most are not working on that UNLESS they receive immediate benefit from it. We live in a world of go,go,go, and quick thinking, so it leaves very little time to build up discipline of the mind. So only a few will benefit from this knowledge, and receive peacefulness, through taking proper action to their problems.
