Is Georgetown still viewed as black excellence?

Growing up you was Georgetown or you c00ning (in the DMV area at least ) and Patrick doing his thang thang but the big East isn't really a thing anymore. So of course it still is to those who know but what about the youth? Do they view Georgetown as that or nah

In pondering this question right now, I think that the regression of Georgetown's cache'
is directly related to the changing strategy of basketball.

I say that to say Georgetown was known for being a school with a dominant true center,
and those are rarer than they used to be.

LMAO real talk as a young breh my big bro had a Georgetown sweater I naturally assumed it was a black school then when I heard Iverson went there or only confirmed want to till I started working as a tutor that my boss was telling how mad black kids in the state wanted to go to Georgetown cuz of Iverson go there and find out it's a super preppy white School.
Can't hate on them they have my homegirl a full ride to med School though

I can't honestly recall a white guy playing ball at Georgetown. Of course , it's one of the more prestigious schools around, but from a basketball standpoint it always seemed like Georgetown had some real thorough dudes! Can anyone imagine someone white playing in the kente cloth uniforms from the mid 90's?
