I mean I'm just not with the current state of things. The music is okay and we are in a much better place than we were in 2007 but it's just....boring to me. I know my username is Love Sosa but it's like why the fukk are we still entertaining this ignorant ass music that promotes simple mindedness? I'm tired of supporting these fake ass "artists" who get paid to play a gimmick. We really gonna pretend like shyt hasn't gone downhill since we were younger? We really gonna pretend like Yeezus was a good album? The tour was godly but the album was trash and I'm tired of these fakkits pretending to be artsy and cultured. I really don't give a fukk about what Nike told him. I'm tired of always seeing some dumb ass shyt Lord Jamar or Azealia Banks said being discussed. I'm tired of lyricism becoming less important. I'm not asking for some lyrical-spiritual shyt but I'm tired of feeling like I literally have to dumb myself down to listen to this bullshyt. Nobody takes their time with shyt anymore either OR stands for anything. I don't want my kids to grow up listening and looking up to these pussies. And it's like the ones who aren't pussies are dumb as shyt. I know some of yall are gonna say "well you must be fun to party with" but I DO enjoy partying to it! I fukk with Coco and some other ignorant shyt but it's like give us more real shyt. Give us that early Kid Cudi shyt that human beings can actually relate to. Give us that MBDTF shyt. Give us that Chronic 2001, that It's dark and Hell is hot. Give us the 7 Day theory:ld:

Hell No,I've been eating good in regards to hip-hop since 2006, admiring the club stuff, digging up and finding old albums, losing my shyt at some amazing talent on soundcloud or bandcamp etc.

I feel like this sometimes but for the most part I accept it for what it is. If you grew up on hip hop in the 90's it's never going to feel like it did back then, it's just not possible. I appreciate the good music that comes out and if there is a drought I just listen to old stuff. This year wasn't too bad to me, there were some albums I really liked:

Step Brothers
Dag Savage
Freddie Gibbs
Pharoahe Monch
Blu
Skyzoo & Torae
Cormega
Dilated Peoples
PRhyme

It's not 95' but that's a good year of music to me :yeshrug:

There is so much GOOD hip hop in 2014...it's kinda absurd

Turn off the radio...block out the trash you hear in the club...there's so much more

I agree, I bump some of the new stuff but there is a lot of :trash:and being wack has seemed to be accepted now more than ever. I have heard a few songs on the radio where I couldn't believe that the artist was serious and that it was just a joke.
