i mean we do got rappers that consider themselves rock stars, or just do it for fun and make money. not that many cats do rap for the love of the culture at all. i mean you can want to make money but have love and respect for the culture



there is not that much diversification in rap neither

We always had "pop-rap" artists in the game. Hammer wasn't lyrical, Will Smith, was never a metaphor god, and no one can remember a Heavy D track. Yet the lyrical giants and heavy hitters came regardless. The paradigm shifted slightly, and now we have way more "pop acts" then lyrical mad men.
