Is humanity crazy?

Do you ever look around at the world (on a large or small scale) and think that so much of what we accept as normal is actually screaming how insane the people living on this planet must be? You could quite literally point at almost any facet of society, be it personal, corporate, religious etc... and see this nuttiness writ large.

Humans are largely more animal than "person".

Education, logic, science, law are all the abstract part of our existence that aspires toward the higher state. The mental. Well planned and rational.

But we ignore the logical at every turn. Greed and laziness drive people to do what they know is detrimental to the larger society.

Crazy is not quite right. I tend to go with "stupid"

"Crazy" becomes relatively meaningless when you look at things from a causal perspective.

We are cognitively dissonant for sure though.

There are too many bright, capable people out there grinding day in and day out to keep the world running to consider humanity as a whole crazy. It's just the crazies with nothing to do or lose that get all the attention.

I'd actually say most people know better and are sane. In fact I'd say the mass majority are sane.

However, the few out there (including many bosses) that make life difficult for everyone got zero problems killing hundreds of thousands of people and have done so.

Get rid of the few thousands of these people (who are also responsible for a massive amount of pollution and other shyt killing us all by the billions) and the world would look much better.

Problem is the normal people (most of us) got too good of a heart and consciousness to do it and just trying to get by.

The average person is quite simple and just doing what they are told. They don't question much about the life they live. Their life was created for them when they were still a child. Something like 70% of people still live in or near their hometown.

Now the people who are pulling the strings, they are the insane ones. Psychopaths.

People keep mutated murderwolves inside their home with their children and act as if it is an act of love. It is safe to say we are an irrational species.

As whole, not crazy but this is miraculous in terms of fragility. Given what we know scientifically (in a broad sense), humanity is unlikely.

So I'd land on miraculous. Especially given the obstacles our species as endured and created.
