Ya know... The Grizzly Bear album was not that good, but the stand out tracks were really good imo...

Tame's album was amazing... and The XX album was garbage straight up... Unless you are depressed as fukk I guess :manny:

But I think Indie Rock is still producing some decent music.

Foxygen released a decent album this year and the new MGMT is not bad at all...

and you're right.... Real Estate is really fukking good... I see them being around for awhile..
Damn it really has been a slow year :bryan:that foxygen album was the last indie release that I copped..

There's hardly anything "indie" about the "indie rock" that has been championed over the past few years. Almost everybody has traded in their guitars for drum machines and keyboards.

When traditional sounding pop acts like Alunageorge, Haim, CHVRCHES, Cults etc are being called "indie," then we have a problem.

yeah i want more guitars in my indie rock.
stuff like neon indian is cool tho but its not indie rock....
