Is it a myth that Steph Curry is a choker in the NBA Finals?

He isn't necessarily a "choker" in the Finals, but he underperformed relative to his regular season both in '15 and '16. I don't see how ANYONE can criticize what he did last season though. And it's not like he was necessarily bad in '15 or '16, either, but those first three games of '15 and the way LeBron was snatching his soul in the second half of '16 say a lot. To add to that, the Cavaliers built their full defensive scheme around getting the ball out of his hands in those Finals and actually were playing defense back then, so there's that as well.

He DEFINITELY fukked up a lot at the end of Game 7 in 2016 and everyone just swept it under the rug though. You can blame him for that loss and there shouldn't be an issue with it.

"If you have to ask how much it costs then you can't afford it"

Off the strength that you have to debunk "the myth" says he hasn't cemented himself to make it a foregone conclusion.

He's played in 3 finals and He's had one excellent 1 last season, one good one in 2015 and one bad one in 2016. Ofcourse it's a myth that he's a choker in the finals as one bad finals out of 3 doesn't constitute choking. That's the objective analysis, anything else is just agenda driven crap:yeshrug:

Idk if I'll say choke (well 2016 was definitely a choke) but he has under performed to his regular season standards in two of the finals. If LeBron isn't single-handed in 2015 he very well could be 0-2 before Kevin Durant.

Was never the outright best player on his team in none of those series.

Outplayed by Kyrie in 2016. Incredibly low IQ plays down the stretch in G7.

He may not be a "choker", but he's been underwhelming, and damn sure ain't been nothing special.

idk but he's definitely not the "put his team on his back in the finals" player :manny:

his success is more team oriented, nothing wrong with that, but it is what it is

His performance in Game 7 vs Cavs pushed the narrative

However, Lebron getting swept in 2007, epic meltdown in 2011, getting saved by Ray in 2013, getting shut down by Boris Diaw in 2014, losing in 2015,

Is the better argument
