Is it better to be Feared or Loved?

It is always better to be loved than feared.
See, because people really think having power and status protects them and it doesn't. Having power and status creates envy and unfairness. Then people think if "I prove myself to be the most evil and brutal motherfukker someone ever seen nobody is gonna fukk with me" then that is just going to create hatred and contempt.
When it comes to justice, when it comes to doing the right thing, nobody is going to be afraid of you. They are just going to be determined to get rid of you.

Nobody gives a shyt about how scary try to make yourself. Nobody is going to give a shyt about how many people you killed. When people want you gone, you gonna get gone.
Now love is different. When people love you, they want to protect you. When people love you, they want to see you succeed. When people love you, they want to help you. When people love you, they'll accept your failures with grace.
Only a complete idiot would rather be feared than loved. I ain't scared of nobody, I don't give a fukk, we can both be crash test dummies and see who survives. But, if I love you, I'll do anything within reason for you.

Love & Fear are the cousins of betrayal. A woman who's afraid of you is liable to do something rash like kill you in your sleep. To be fair, a woman in love can do the same thing with no remorse. Honestly, fukk both options. It's better to be revered. I've never heard of anyone stepping up to a nikka that was revered by the people. It's like respect on a much deeper level. A good example might be the relationship between Kratos and Atreus in GoW 4. He would never step out of line because he deeply respects and admires his dad more than anything. Imagine being respected by someone so much that they will live, die, and kill for you.
Growing up, I used to want to be feared because I thought being feared would make people respect me enough not to mess with me as i would get bullied and etc. At least that's what I believed with how certain people were treated from others when they did whatever. Looking back at it now, being feared only puts a target on your back because when people fear you, they are more inclined to hurt you. Being loved is better. At least people will show out for you. If you're loved, respect is probably there too.

FEAR REQUIRES MORE MAINTENANCE. LOVE/RESPECT IS EASIER TO MAINTAIN WHEN YOU GET OLD. A HEALTHY BALANCE OF ALL OF IT WORKS THE BEST THOUGH. WHEN YOUR ALLIES LOVE/RESPECT YOU, YOUR ENEMIES HAVE TO FEAR THE PEOPLE AROUND YOU.
