Gotta get at 'em young or indoctrination won't work.
You can tell a four year old about math and religion. My son is five and is a math genius, above both his parents.... he doesn't understand shyt about religion.. I ask him questions and he doesn't get it. His mom is an atheist.

Religion isn't that hard to impede on a 4 year old.

just tell them that the imaginary thing is the "God(s)" of your choice and tell said child you're afraid of their imaginary friend, too.

But a child can understand basic stuff about gods. But can also understand adding and subtracting. Your talking about multiplication.... thats like a child understanding the context of most religious scenarios. Its easier to teach math because math is more logical.
