Perhaps some of the black males that I interact with mirror the pathetic attitudes that I see here.

That's not what I'm talking about. Anyway the thread title states that I don't let the attitudes here sour my perception of black men though I do find it taxing not to.

I know plenty of decent men in my everyday life. Still don't trust them, but they're decent enough.

This place does bother me though because I don't know whether to take these guys seriously or not. How much of it is their real feelings and how much of it is internet posing? It shouldn't matter because the chances of me ever meeting these dudes are slim to none, but it has caused me to question things and to really think that I'm tired of my person hood being challenged because I have a vagina.

sometimes I get on in a real kumbaya mood and then a group of posts completely ruin it
but I always feel sort of lucky that I don't have to take what they say as personally, since I don't look at men romantically
makes me feel sorry for the women tho
whats funny is that a lot of what they say reminds me of what some dudes were saying on certain boards on a certain website by dudes who think traps are superior to women and are romantically attracted to men
