I don't think the world has ever been this obsessed with looks. All of this plastic surgery and miracle makeup. You can't even be an actor or singer with out being real attractive nowadays. Back in the day talent and character got you very far. Now you have women with voices like Aretha Franklin working at a call centers and 5Linx because she's overweight or isn't a dime.
I'm sure they has always being a lot of beautiful people in the world, but before the internet we only saw a few. Now it seems to be millions of beautiful on TV and on social media. I think about 20-30 years ago women made a conscious decisions to try to get pregnant by only good looking dudes, bcuz they are a lot of fine women out here. Seems like company hires finer women first, Every store in the mall has pretty girls working in there now.
I'm a average looking guy i think, but im 6'2 and athletic and I excel in the dating game. Sometimes me and my girl go out and invite some of our friends. It might be her overweight thirsty friend and my thirstiest roughest homeboy paired up bcuz we think they matchup well and they'll just avoid each other. Even tho they both are single and lonely.
I'm like what unattractive people don't even want to date other attractive people anymore?
I think they feel dating someone that's unattractive is conceding to be unattractive themselves and they would rather be lonely and want around for someone better. Maybe that's why so many unattractive people are on the "I'm not settling" tip. Personally, i don't it's settling when you doing your best. If a 4 or 5 is the best you can get, so be it.
Just seems like a cold world for unattractive people.
